The things she says...

Lila's vocabulary has really increased over the last month.  She is talking all the time whether it be gibberish or actual words.  You can talk to her and have little conversations.  Here are some of my favorite recent things she has said...

1.  She has some Disney Princess toys and she calls them "Jewee" meaning jewelry.  She came up with this because of Brendan's Pretty Pretty Princess game with all the jewelry.  Princesses are on everything and she sees them everywhere (ranging from yogurt cups to Pull-Ups!).  So it is a lot of "Jewee!!"

2.  Anything that she does not know a name for she calls a baby.  All of her stuffed animals are babies.  Animals she sees are babies (except for doggies and meows).  Kids that are older than her are babies.  She sees them in books or on tv and will say, "Awww baby" or "Awww babies" and when she plays babies they always "eep" or sleep.  She will also on various occasions have a baby in her tummy and will lift her shirt up and point to her stomach and say "Awww baby."

3.  She started calling me mom this weekend.  I told her she is still one and has to call me mommy.  She looked at me and said, "No. Mom. Two times."
Where the heck did that come from???  She would also respond to a question with "Yes. Mom." or "Thanks. Mom."  It wasn't just me though. She did call Jason "Dad" once and his response was the same as mine.  What???

4.  "No want to" is something else I've heard frequently.
Lila can I have a kiss? "No want to"
Lila time for nap. "No want to"
Lila we have to go to the store. "No want to"

5. She has also learned "sorry" and when to say it. I got her up yesterday morning and she started the Lila-gibber talk...

"Hi Mommy! jfaooifghasdherigh Dora dhfoghighdfg Boots skdjfhidoehreig Baby jfhdoigho. Sorry mommy."

and then handed me her Dora book that was in bed.  I'm not sure what she did and why she apologized.  I thought it was sweet that she knew to say sorry on her own.  She will at random times if you ask her to stop doing something she'll get a sad look on her face and say "Sorry mommy."  How can you be upset at that!

I love this picture of her.  We were at my in-laws and Lila kept playing with the phone.  She is having a conversation here with her great aunt on the line and would not give up the phone!  She loves to talk!
