New camera

For Christmas, Jason and I asked for a new digital camera from his parents.  My old Kodak took ok pictures outside in natural light but anything indoors was blurry, too dark, or ehhh looking.  We did not want anything large, bulky, or a camera that required extra lens/classes to figure out.  Just a nicer point and shoot camera.

My father in law gave me some websites to research cameras and I found the Canon Powershot 95S.  I read a lot of reviews about it and people seemed pretty pleased with this camera.  Easy to use (auto settings) with the option for more manual shooting (like I will ever understand any of those!).  It is small and compact and gives a lot sharper image than my old Kodak.

Here are some comparisons...

Kodak: Ducks/seagull

Canon: Ducks

Kodak: Shadows

Canon: Shadows

Kodak: Kitchen

Canon: Kitchen

Kodak: Bird (zoomed as much as I could and through a window)

Canon: Bird (zoomed and through a window)

I'm pretty excited to use this new camera once Brendan starts soccer/tball again this year.  Maybe I'll actually get some decent pictures and can zoom in a little more.

  1. I have been checking for sales on that camera. Right now the only place I can find it is Amazon every where else is out of stock.
