The first snowfall is always an exciting time with the kids. We were forecasted to get between 2-4 inches of snow overnight (and scrabbled to make sure Brendan's boots/snow pants fit for school) and woke up to around 2 inches and sunshine. It was a heavy snow so it looked so pretty on all of our pine trees and the sun melted away what was on the driveway and streets (bonus!).
I went out early to take some pictures of our backyard. It was so pretty.
Lila and Brendan had fun looking out our big front window at the snow. Lila was looking for Boots from Dora because we talked about how we needed to wear boots in the snow.
Brendan measured the snow before school. He loves numbers and math.
Lila and I ventured out for a few errands.
Then to finish off the day we played outside in the snow. Lila just enjoyed stomping through the snow and Brendan came up with games and races for us to play.
Will have to remember how fun the kids think the snow is because come March/April when we are still getting snow it has lost its appeal to me!
