26 Weeks (Baby Thrice)
How big is baby: He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.
Weight gain/loss: 0 lb from last week (weighed at doctor for total of 14lbs)
Stretch marks: None
Sleep: Falling asleep on the couch again. I just feel too tired in the evening to walk down the hallway to go to bed.
Diet/cravings/aversions: Not really any this week
Symptoms: Heartburn, nausea, hot flashes, migraine, throwing up
Exercise: Put back on rest for the next week and still wouldn't be allowed to exercise anyways
Gender: Still a surprise! I still feel it is a boy and Lila has called the baby her brother.
Movement: Kicks, rolls, swimming...not sure what this baby is up to in there!
The belly: Last week I tried on a pair of non-maternity pants so this week I tried my jeggings...Should have stopped while I was ahead. I'll just stick with the maternity pants!
Worries: I had another great appointment and my doctor was really pleased except my fetal fibronectin test turned out positive and you really want a negative. She did tell me a positive is not as strong as getting a negative.
They give you this test to check for a protein that is evident when you go into labor. A negative means you will not deliver or go into labor in the next two weeks. A positive means you could but they don't put a lot of faith into a positive reading.
She told me to rest this week and we'd check things out again on Thursday when I go in for my shot.
What I'm loving: Baby kicks, a helpful husband, lots of family time, snuggling on the couch with Lila

You are TINY. I will not be doing a weekly update on my pregnancy. I'd be ashamed to admit how much I gain each week. ;)
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well for you. NO fun to be so sick still. Were you this sick with your last two? On bed rest as well?
Ah thanks Heidi:) I really think my throwing up balances out the weight gain...lol! I get weighed every week at the doctor so it doesn't seem like such a shock but for others who are only once a month at this point get 4 weeks of weight total.
ReplyDeleteI was sick a lot with Lila the whole pregnancy and on bed rest with her because of Brendan being born at 30 weeks. This time I seem to be having more issues because my bed rest was supposed to start at 28 weeks and I started 22:(
I think you are amazing to even be able to blog with 4 kiddos and another on the way!!!!
Even though I know all your news before you write, I just love reading your blogs. You are always in my prayers. Love You
ReplyDeleteWow, Marie. I hear stories of pregnancies like yours and I wonder just how people can do it! What a hard road to travel in pregnancy. I will pray it gets better for you and that the Lord keeps that little one safe!
ReplyDeleteBlogging is an outlet for me. I don't watch TV much at all, but I really like to write. But, I haven't even been blogging much lately. I don't have a lot of desire to do much of anything right now except sit around. ;)
